Cheryl Rantala’s connection to St. Paul began as a student at Macalester College, and she has long been interested in community development and revitalization efforts. For more than fifteen years, she worked for First Bank System (now U.S. Bank) in various banking and community development positions. During her career with First Bank, Cheryl worked in branch banks in North Minneapolis and St. Paul’s East Side, before being appointed director of the company’s state government relations activities.
