Rehabilitating older and historic housing has many community benefits and personal rewards, but also poses significant technical, financial, and regulatory challenges.
Greg Donofrio will present innovative policies and best practices currently used in other cities to facilitate the rehabilitation of abandoned and neglected housing.
His presentation is based upon the report “Foreclosure Response”, produced this spring by sixteen graduate students enrolled in his preservation planning course, each of whom selected a city in the United States to investigate its foreclosure initiatives.
